Welcome to the opening of the exhibition “Kandinsky. Into the Unknown”.

The exhibition features prints and drawings from the early part of Kandinsky’s career and is based on a generous loan from the Centre Pompidou in Paris. Several of the works have never before been shown in Norway.

The opening is free and no ticket is required, but we encourage you to arrive early to be sure of admission. Attendance will be granted on a first-come-first-served basis.

The event begins in the Salon with musical interludes and speeches by the National Museum’s director, Ingrid Røynesdal, and France’s ambassador to Norway, Florence Robine. It then moves on to the exhibition itself in the Prints and Drawings Gallery.

Music preformance by cellist duet Wei Ting Zeng and Tanja Orning.

There is a minimum age requirement of 18 years.
