Summer studio: Build boats for dreams and thoughts

1 July 2016–21 August 2016

Museum of Contemporary Art

In the exhibition «Silent Revolt: Norwegian Process Art and Conceptual Art in the 1970s and 80s», you can see Inghild Karlsen's huge, breathing balloon, made of felt. Karlsen dreamed about living inside of the balloon, floating out to sea. The balloon also resembles planet earth. Imagine what it would be like to live inside the earth! Imagine if the planet could burst as easy as a balloon..

We make our own boats for dreams and thoughts. Maybe the boats can transport our thoughts and dreams out into the world?

The studio is open from 13.00–16.00 every day except Mondays, until August 22.
