Seminar: “Lina Bo Bardi & Sverre Fehn as exhibition designers”

23. mars 2017

The National Museum – Architecture

The National Museum – Architecture is glad to announce a seminar on exhibition design and display strategies, accompanying the exhibition ‘Casa de Vidro. Lina Bo Bardi in dialogue with Sverre Fehn’. Both Bo Bardi and Fehn designed not only museum buildings, but as well display elements and exhibitions, frequently using mirrors and glass. For the 1958 Brussels Expo pavilion, Fehn designed acrylic glass showcases and columns as “an attempt to create a fabric without shadow”. Among Bo Bardi’s most radical display designs counts her iconic glass easel for the painting collection of the MASP - Museu de Arte de São Paulo.

Lectures by:

• Gennaro Postiglione (Professor, Politecnico di Milano)

• Natalie Hope O'Donnell (curator, Munchmuseet on the move)

• Martin Corullon (exhibition architect MASP – Museu de Arte de São Paulo)

• Markus Richter (curator ‘Casa de Vidro. Lina Bo Bardi i dialog med Sverre Fehn’)

The seminar is hold in English.
