Summer workshop: Let's build a shelter
1 July 2017–13 August 2017
The National Museum – Architecture
July: Open during museum opening hours
1 –13 August: 13–16.00
A shelter provides a temporary place to be. It can take the form of a bus stop, a fireplace, roof over a source of drinking water, a tree hut or a raft.
Build a model of a shelter – a place to be for you and your friend. In the workshop you'll find cardboard, sticks, tape and leftover materials. Take home what you build.
The exhibition “A Place to Be: Contemporary Norwegian Architecture 2011–2016”focuses on five thematic categories: “Dwelling”, “Shelter”, “Transformation”, “Recreation”, and “The heart of the city”. Find inspiration in the exhibition and seek out the five projects in the "Shelter" category.
