The Norges Bank bicentenary coin

19 June 2016–21 August 2016

The Museum of Contemporary Art

Norges Bank will be issuing a special edition 20-krone coin to commemorate its bicentennial in 2016. The design for the coin was chosen following a competition between students at the Oslo National Academy of the Arts, the Bergen Academy of Art and Design, and the Trondheim Academy of Fine Art. This small exhibition displays the winning entry, “The Pulse of Norway”, which was submitted by Kjersti M. Austdal (Oslo National Academy of the Arts), along with the other 23 entries to the competition. The proposed designs have been modelled in plaster, wood and ceramic.

Admission to the exhibition is free
