Ottar Kåsa is one of the country’s foremost makers of Hardanger fiddles. An expert with extensive knowledge of the Norwegian Hardanger fiddle tradition, Kåsa is also a highly skilled performer. Characteristic rose patterns are a prominent decorative feature of Norwegian Hardanger fiddles, a tradition that has evolved over time. Ottar Kåsa shares his knowledge of the Norwegian Hardanger fiddle and the different rose patterns.
