The National Museum present Anawana Haloba (born 1978) as a central contemporary voice, highly topical and at a crutial moment in her international career.

Haloba has participated in numerous international group exhibitions and biennials.
In 2025, she is taking part in the Berlin Biennale for Contemporary Art and is currently nominated for both the Artes Mundi Prize and the Lorck Schive Art Prize.

She works across a wide range of media, including sculpture, video, performance, poetry, and sound installation. The Light Hall is an ideal space to highlight the experimental character of Haloba’s spatial installations.
