Magnus Boye Hansen

My name is Magnus Boye Hansen and play the viola in the Oslo String Quartet.

To me, the best thing with this instrument is that it is a very versitile tool. The viola responds really fast to even the most subtle nuances, and when I play I get the feeling that there are no limits to what can be expressed, wich gives an enormous flexibility.

I often think that my viola somehow is my mentor, because every time I play on it, I feel I learn something new. It is also a quite small instrument, not a massive and heavy one. I am very lucky to be able to play on this very fine instrument.
