My name is Torleif Thedeen, and I’m lucky enough to play the Guadagnini cello from 1783, previously owned by Mstislav Rostropovich, and now owned by the Dextra Foundation.
This cello is a constant challenge and a constant inspiration for me to look for colours, depth and overtones.
I would say, every day I practice on this cello I find new qualities and new colours. I’m very grateful for being able to play it.
