Torun Sæter Stavseng

My name is Torun Sæter Stavseng. I’m principal cellist of Aurora Orchestra London and a member of Cikada Ensemble and the Norwegian Chamber Orchestra.

The best thing about this cello is that it talks as much as it sings, and has an exceptionally sparkling crisp and rich sound. It’s also incredibly beautiful, with its dark wood. The cello is built a little smaller than standard size, which suits me perfectly. And although it’s a little smaller than the others, it has almost all the more depth and power. I think that’s a nice thing to think about.
