Friends of the Museum of Architecture

Friends of the Museum of Architecture is an independent association that exists to support the activities of the National Museum – Architecture. Founded in 1994, it is open to anyone who wishes to join.
Membership benefits include free admission to the National Museum, a 15% discount in the National Museum – Architecture shop, and invitations to exciting events.
What do the Friends of the Museum of Architecture do?
- The association provides financial support for selected projects within the museum’s programme.
- It arranges visits to sites of architectural interest and guided tours of exhibitions at the National Museum – Architecture.
- It invites members to meetings, lectures and discussions on a range of specialist topics.
The Friends association has supported a series of film interviews with prominent figures in the architectural field. These throw light on the activities of professional architects and document the history of the National Museum – Architecture.
The association holds most of its meetings within the museum at Bankplassen 3 in Oslo.
