In the Moment. Performance at the National Museum

Experience three unique performances the last weekend in October.
"In the Moment" showcases a broad scope of artistic approaches that fall under the umbrella of performance – a concert, an interactive installation, and a walk through the museum. The programme will explore the history of performance, with a critical focus on how performance is curated, collected, conserved and mediated. In addition to performances, the museum will also host a parallel discursive programme with talks and conversations.
The artists Meredith Monk, Elina Waage Mikalsen and Sagg Napoli have been invited to share works that will provide invaluable examples of what performance is today.
"In the Moment" is kindly supported by Lise M Stolt-Nielsen and her family. Through this engagement the Stolt-Nielsen family wishes to contribute to Norwegian and international performance art.
The 2025 program is developed by a committee consisting of Stina Høgkvist (now director of Northern Norwegian Art Museum), Geir Haraldseth, curator National Museum, Klaus Biesenbach, Director of Neue Nationalgalerie Berlin.
