  • International – The Nordic Pavilion in Venice

Several national pavilions at the Venice Biennale have come together to organize pavilion days on the 23rd and the 24th of September. In the Nordic pavilion you can meet the curators and architects behind the exhibition What We Share, and participate in guided tours. Musicians Håkon Gebhardt (Norway) and  Marì Simonelli (Italy) will perform, and the youngest audience may enjoy story time with Norwegian books in italian an englodh translations. 

Thursday 23 September

10.30, 11.00 and 12.30
Siv Helene Stangeland, partner and Creative Director, Helen & Hard Architects, or Reinhard Kropf, in 30 minutes conversations with residents of Vindmøllebakken co-housing project. 

11.30 and 13.30
Music by Gebhardt. (Håkon Gebhardt, vocals/guitar, Marì Simonelli, keyboard). Ca. 10 minutes.

The main theme for the biennale this year is How will we live together? and deals with how architects can create new communities. In Venice the National Museum and Helen & Hard address the biennale theme with a new cohousing project designed for the Nordic pavilion, which questions what we are willing to share with others.
