Free finissage weekend! Curator’s tour: "Coming into Community"

What is the significance of community in LGBTQ+ circles? How have ideas about community influenced architecture and urban planning? What is it that makes us feel safe in a particular space? Can architecture help nurture our relationships with other people?
The Oslo Architecture Triennale, which has taken place every three years since 2000, is the Nordic region’s largest festival of architecture. In 2022, the theme of the Triennale is the neighbourhood as community space.
The curator’s tour at the National Museum – Architecture at Bankplassen will provide insights into various ideas about community and inclusion in the contexts of architecture and urban planning. The tour will include both the exhibition in the Bucher Room, about projects from the 1960s up to the present day, and the installation in the Pavilion, which has been created by the Swedish art and architecture collective MYCKET.
Please use the back entrance to the museum.
The tour will last approximately 45 minutes.
