Arches
Objects, rituals, and graves
Transcription
There are many traditions for burying ourselves.
Graves are not just storage places for dead people, but places to remember, gather, and tell stories.
In some places, completely unique architecture is built such as mausoleums, palaces, churches, catacombs, etc.
Here we collect objects in shelves and niches.
A collection of candlesticks, which are not necessarily made for ritual acts, are displayed together with fragments, sketches, and notes.
Even if an object is in the collection, we may not know everything about the object and what it meant.
The fragments are displayed together with objects from cultures we can no longer reach in time and place.
Is it possible to travel in time with these objects?
