We know Anna-Eva Bergman (1909-1987) best as a visual artist, but she was also a writer. After making a living as a illustrator and journalist around Europe in the years between the First and Second World Wars, Bergman wrote down her childhood memories and drew illustrations and vignettes for the book's fifteen chapters. Her wish was to publish the material in its entirety, but for various reasons the manuscript has remained – until now.
