The artist John Andreas Savio (1902–1938) is considered by the author to be the most significant Sami visual artist to date. His greatest artistic and technical strength was as a graphic artist.
The book shows 154 of his graphic prints in black and white and in colour. Where the impression is not known, but the printing plate exists, a photo of the printing plate is reproduced. In addition, hand-coloured graphics are shown, and for some motifs, pre-processing for the graphics is also shown.
