The National Museum is located in the centre of Oslo, by the Aker Brygge wharf.

How to get there

There are no parking spaces available for motorized vehicles, except for four HC parking spots in Dokkveien.
Bicycle parking can be found by Aker brygge and by the personell entrance (facing Munkedamsveien). Temporary bike racks have also been set up at Museumsplassen, by the main entrance to the museum. More bicycle parking in close proximity to the museum is something Statsbygg and Oslos bymiljøetat are currently looking into.

Public transportation

  • Tram: Line 12 to Aker brygge. Line 11 and 13 to Nationaltheatret. 
  • Subway: Nationaltheatret station. All lines stop here.
  • Train: Nationaltheatret station. 
  • Bus: No. 33 and 81 to Dokkveien, and no. 30 and 31 to Nationaltheatret.
