As a paper conservator, my jobs are to assess the condition of works on paper, to document and conserve them, and also to conduct research about them. My days at work are very varied, depending entirely on what’s happening at the museum. Works have to be prepared to go on display and new acquisitions have to be documented. Works with damage have to be repaired, and we use a lot of exciting methods for researching works in the collection.

Kind regards, Alexandra, paper conservator
