The stole should be wrapped inside some cotton fabric that has been washed at a temperature of at least 60°C. Too much light is damaging for fur, so ideally the stole should be kept in a cupboard, but don’t stack anything on top of it.

But like wool, fur is somewhat prone to being attacked by pests such as moths. So the cupboard should be kept clean and not left too undisturbed. Pests like peace and quiet. If they are disturbed, they tend to disappear. So take the stole out every so often and wear it :)
