Welcome to a workshop with artist Milton Mondal!

In this workshop we will explore the drypoint technique to visualize a personal journey. With drypoint the motif is embossed into a metal plate using a sharp tool such as a steel needle. We will experiment by using different sharp objects to draw lines and marks on aluminium, and create prints using different colors. You will receive guidance along the way, and there will be a concluding discussion about participants’ creations.

Mondal will also share insights into his own art, how he works with various printing techniques and connect his own works with relevant historical works.

The workshop will be held in English and is suitable for everyone, whether you have worked with printmaking before or have never tried the technique before.

You need a ticket for the workshop, as well as an entrance ticket, to participate.

Milton works with various printmaking techniques, pushing the boundaries of the two dimensional to create conceptual and site-specific installations.  Mondal has a master's degree in Graphics and Drawing at Khio from 2023 and a diploma from École supérieure d'arts & médias de Caen/Cherbourg, France.
