Join us for a performance that will take you around the museum on Sunday afternoon.

Uskkádat Ustaria by Elina Waage Mikalsen and Jassem el Hindi is a commissioned work for the National Museum, Waage Mikalsen’s second commission since Mii golggahit joga, bálgá, njuvččaid, váriid / We Pour the River, the Path, the Swans, the Mountains in 2022 during the opening of the museum.

Now, Elina Waage Mikalsen together with Jassem Hindi will be moving from the entrance of the National Museum and inwards, weaving together text, sound and objects. They are asking: What is our autonomy within this colonial space?

To sign up please contact the information desk in the vestibule. There is a limited number of tickets, first come first served. A limited number of free tickets will be made available as part of the work.

"In the Moment" is kindly supported by Lise M Stolt-Nielsen and her family. Through this engagement the Stolt-Nielsen family wishes to contribute to Norwegian and international performance art.

The 2025 program is developed by a committee consisting of Stina Høgkvist (now director of Northern Norwegian Art Museum), Geir Haraldseth, curator National Museum, Klaus Biesenbach, Director of Neue Nationalgalerie Berlin.
