Hvordan ble du konservator?
I did a normal three-year Bachelor degree (BA) in History of Art at University College London, which included a subsidiary course called "Material Studies". This was my introduction to conservation. I was much more fascinated by HOW paintings were made, rather than the meaning or interpretation of the picture.
After completing my BA I went on to do an additional three-year post-gradutate diploma (PgDip) in the Conservation of Easel Paintings at The Courtauld Institute of Art in London. After I graduated I undertook several internships, including at Tate Gallery, London and Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam, as well as building on my practical skills by working in private studios in London.
