I did my bachelor and master in photography and media art, and taught video and digital art production at various universities in USA before I moved to Norway and took the 2nd master in object conservation at UiO. I also worked at the digitisation department at Nasjonalbiblioteket while I was studying conservation.

All these different experiences have become the most valuable resources for me to take care of time-based media and digital artworks, despite my formal education in historic and archaeological object conservation. The fields of time-based media and digital conservation are new thus evolving rapidly, so I have to continually learn new art forms as well as develop techniques to preserve them, which are both challenging and exciting!
